Book review

Poignant, real-life stories of successful leadership in business and education are woven throughout the dynamic book Leading for Success: Fourteen Lessons to Great Leadership. Each story is dedicated to describing a specific dimension that the authors assert is crucial to success, and storytelling is deemed critical to illustrate the import of each leadership dimension. The fourteen lessons are organized under four dominant themes: gathering relevant information, forging strategic direction, manifesting exemplary style, and providing occasion employee buy-in. The book is simple to grasp and its concrete examples make the points stick. Each lesson concludes with questions to help you connect to the realities of your own situation. James R. Lewellen co-founded and co-operated a food business, and most recently a real estate investment firm.
